About Us:
Hi! We're Mike & Kerry, the proud owners of a 1992 Bluebird rear engine (pusher), 40' school bus! We named her Bussy McBusface in honor of the RRS Boaty McBoatface travesty!
We built a Tiny-Home-in-a-Bus for full-time living in the most adventure-friendly way possible. Bussy was never meant to be parked in a driveway, waiting for weekend trips or holiday getaways. After we finished the build, we packed everything we kept into the bus and drove away from our old house and into the world of off-grid living, aka boondocking, and endless travel adventures!
Since we planned to be boondocking the majority of the time, we made choices such as; a 100-gallon water tank, an Air Head composting toilet, a 1500w solar power system with 1000Ah in AGM batteries, etc. We'd love to have you stick around and follow us on our journey, from our Skoolie Build Series, to infinite buslife adventures beyond!

Radioactive Rockhounds & our Busiversary!
Переглядів 3,8 тис.Рік тому
Who knew you could find naturally occurring radioactive rocks, right alongside civilization? Not me! They look just like any ordinary old rock, so how would you even know if your whole town was full of them? Well, I guess you'd need a geiger counter for that. Or a friend like Mike! By the way, today is our 2-year anniversary of living in the bus! On October 6th, 2020, we started our adventure d...

Now that we've stopped in one place for long enough, Kerry has the time and space to get back to work on the Ocean & Sky mosaic that covers our shower and bathroom walls! We've been collecting plates at local thrift stores for the rest of the broken-dish mosaic, but we also included some extra special glow-in-the-dark pool tiles to make a glowing moon and stars in the night sky! Of course, you ...

We've parked our bus here at the Wolf Rigs headquarters in Denver while Mike gets helps design and build the ultimate overland vehicle! Hey Mike, when you were talking about the weather station, and wanted to know how much rain fell, I wondered how much rain falls on 8ft x 40ft deck per inch of rain? How much could you catch and plumb it to your water tank? There's a website called, calculatorsoup they have a tank volume cslculator.... Just a thought for you.

On long stiches you need to add an inch of fabric for every yard.Or something like that. Because the stich makes the fabric srink. And make your stich length as long as your machine will alow. Just watch tons of Sailrite video's and you'll learn.

This is a very informative video! You covered the ups and downs of cell phone service thoroughly and gave us extra bits of helpful info which are usually forgotten, such as where to place your external antenna and WHY. You used layman’s language, making it easy to understand. I hope you have a video on your solar array including the how’s and why’s of installation, power produced from it, various equipment needed inside the bus and what it does, and especially brand names. It’s okay, in my opinion, to say that a particular brand did not perform well but another one did. You are just giving your honest opinion and THAT is what we need to hear. I wouldn’t want to spend several thousand dollars on a system and then find out later that it is all junk, and that you knew and didn’t tell us. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge with us.
